Community photography

Photography can lead you down some unexpected paths.  Two years ago – when I was still focused on underwater and natural history photography – I would never have guessed I’d be shooting some of the people and organisations I have working with over the last few months.  Since the start of the year I’ve been doing some work for two different foundations here in the UK, both of which support individuals, groups and other charities that work within their own communities – grass roots support as it is meant to be.  I’ve photographed aspiring MCs, model-railway engineers, volunteer cooks in a church kitchen and community choirs, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Love the pictures Matt – you really do have a talent for photographing people and conveying a message with just one image.
